Bioact® EC7M™

Bioact® EC7M is a powerful cleaner based upon natural and biodegradable terpene solvents produced from citrus fruit. As a room-temperature defluxer, this is a highly cost-effective and environmentally safe cleaning choice.  It lifts residues and adhesives that nothing else will touch. The powerful, natural cleaner penetrates quickly, dissolving and removing fluxes, adhesives and glues of all kinds. Bioact will not stain or leave residues. The cleaner is natural, biodegradable, and safe for the ozone layer. Test carefully on soft plastics, like the "jewel cases" DVDs are packaged in.

EC7M is an excellent electronic cleaner for all types of fluxes, conformal coatings, dirt, moisture, dust and light oxides. It's a good degreaser, but a remarkable cleaner for anything made from rubber or silicone, like most adhesives and glues. The cleaner has been widely used on PC boards, components, connectors and mechanical parts. EC7M dries relatively slowly, minimizing solvent waste. It requires good ventilation. Test on soft plastics.    LBL9123QW

Which Cleaner is Best at Removing Conformal Coatings?

Q.

We ran in a bit of an issue last week. The customer is using Dymax 921, Loctite Speedbonder 392, and EpoxiBond 350-3T for bonding. they are using a sharp knife in scraping it off carefully, but they are having a tough time in the process. We tried EC7M, DC1, PW2 and even tried TidyPen but with no avail. What do you recommend? (From Mike in China)
